As I look, look as far as I can see,
Faces over faces, blank simplicity.
Although the day may come, I make no guarentee
to see a person in the crowd -- the rest may ever be
Poster board people in denim dress and tee's,
Constants in a social formula meant to be
Worked through by the variable "me".
Putting up a poster face may screen out social squalls
But turns people seeing persons into the hardest task of all.
For a person is just a people who you happen to recall
As more than just another number walking through the hall
Because suddenly that person's not
Just some poster people after all
